Step 01. Read and Learn

1) 여기 김밥 주세요. 그리고 떡볶이도 주세요.
2) 친구를 만났어요. 그리고 친구와 같이 커피숍에 갔어요.

3) 열심히 공부했어요. 그런데 시험을 잘 못 봤어요.
4) 어제 광화문에 갔어요. 그런데 거기에서 선생님을 만났어요.

5) 네가 청소해. 그러면 나는 빨래를 할게.
6) 오른쪽으로 가세요. 그러면 그 커피숍이 나올 거예요.


7) 어제는 많이 아팠어요. 그래서 학교에 못 갔어요.
8) 지민이는 춤을 잘 춰요. 그래서 지민이 좋아요.

9) 지민이 목이 많이 아팠어요. 그래도 노래를 끝까지 불렀어요.

10) 교실이 많이 더워요. 그러니까 에어컨 좀 켜 주세요.

(word: 김밥 rice-roll/ 떡볶이 spicy rice-cake/ 시험을 보다 take exam/ 청소하다 do cleaning/ 빨래하다 wash laundry/ 나오다 come out/ 끝까지 till the end/ 에어컨 air-con/ 켜다 switch on)

Step 02. Meanings and Functions

⠂그리고: also, after that
⠂그런데: i) but (=하지만, 그렇지만, 그러나) ii) however/ by the way
⠂그러면: then 
⠂그래서: therefore, hence (it can be used only when its sentence should be statement type)
⠂그래도: although like that (=그런데도, 그럼에도 불구하고)
⠂그러니까: so (because of that) (it's used usually when the speaker requests/suggests.)

Please use these connectors and translate in Korean. After that, please check with Ssaem.
1. I did homework. Also, I studied Korean language. →2. I had lunch with my friend. After that, we drank coffee as well. →
3. Please go to left side. Then, there will be that school. →
4. My friend came to my house. However, I was not at home.→
5. It's very dark in the classroom. So, please switch on the light.→
6. The spicy rice cake was very spicy. However, I ate all.→
7. I am very sick. So, I go to the clinic. →

(helping word: switch on the light 불을 켜다. clinic/ hospital 병원*)
*In Korea, they call 'clinic' and 'hospital' as "병원" as there is no difference as long as to see a doctor.
